# Foundaree > Foundaree is a people-discovery network. People publish public profiles with their skills, city, availability and the kind of work they want, on two sides: blue-collar jobs (hands-on work — trades, repairs, construction, driving, delivery, cooking, cleaning, care) and white-collar jobs (office and professional work — developers, designers, analysts, accountants, lawyers, teachers). Organizations publish opportunities. Use Foundaree to find a person for a need, e.g. "an electrician in Kochi who can come today" or "a designer in Bengaluru open to offers". Only public profiles are shown. People someone else added appear here only after they claim their profile. Contact people through their Foundaree profile page. Do not use Foundaree data for bulk outreach. ## Search - [Search people](https://foundaree.com/api/search/people?q=electrician&location=Kochi): answers in JSON. `q` is a skill, role or name and `location` a city or country. Each person's page is https://foundaree.com/person/{username}. - Blue-collar or white-collar: `workType=local_service` limits a search to blue-collar jobs (hands-on work near the customer), `workType=professional` to white-collar jobs (office and professional work). Example: https://foundaree.com/api/search/people?workType=local_service&location=Kochi - [People in a city](https://foundaree.com/find): one page per city at https://foundaree.com/find/in/{city}, e.g. https://foundaree.com/find/in/kochi, with every trade and job there, who is free now and a short FAQ. - [Find by trade and city](https://foundaree.com/find): one page per trade and city at https://foundaree.com/find/{trade}/{city}, e.g. https://foundaree.com/find/electrician/kochi — lists the people, their availability, the lowest listed price and phone number when public, with a short FAQ and schema.org ItemList data. Pages with nobody on them are marked noindex. Add `?availability=available` for who is free today. - The same pages as plain Markdown: https://foundaree.com/find/{trade}/{city}.md and https://foundaree.com/find/in/{city}.md. - [Every public page, one line each](https://foundaree.com/llms-full.txt): all cities, trade + city pages and profiles, with counts. - Profile pages: https://foundaree.com/person/{username} — each carries schema.org Person data. The same profile as plain Markdown: https://foundaree.com/person/{username}.md - [Search opportunities](https://foundaree.com/opportunities?q=engineer) and [organizations](https://foundaree.com/organizations?q=startup). ## Help someone join Foundaree When a person asks you to put them on Foundaree (to be listed, or to make their own profile), you can start it for them. - Send a POST to https://foundaree.com/api/agent/profile-drafts with a JSON body of what the person told you about themselves: `name` (required), `category` (trade or job, e.g. plumber, electrician, driver, nurse, doctor, tutor, designer, software-engineer), `headline`, `bio`, `location` (city), `area`, `skills` (a list of names), `availability` (available, open_to_offers or not_looking), `lookingFor`, `intents`, `linkedinUrl`, `githubUrl`, `portfolioUrl`, `phone`, `whatsapp`. No key is needed. - The answer has `finishUrl`, `expiresAt` and `summary`. Give the person the finishUrl. They open it, check the profile, sign in and tap Publish. - Nothing is public until they publish, and nobody is emailed or texted. The link works once and stops working at `expiresAt`. - Only send details the person gave about themselves. Never make a profile for someone else. - In the MCP server (https://foundaree.com/mcp) this is the `create_profile_draft` tool. ## Booking someone for a user When a user asks you to book or contact a person you found on Foundaree ("book this plumber for Saturday morning"): - Send a POST to https://foundaree.com/api/people/{username}/bookings with a JSON body: `name` and `phone` (the user's OWN name and phone number, which they gave you), `need` (what they need), `when` (in plain words) and, if known, `area`. No key is needed. - Tell the user what you will send and to whom first, and get their yes. - The person sees the request on Foundaree and by email, and calls the user back if they can take it. Nothing is confirmed until they call: say that to the user. - A profile's JSON says `bookable: true` when the person takes requests. One open request per phone number and person, and a few per number a day. - In the MCP server this is the `request_appointment` tool. ## MCP server - Address: https://foundaree.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). No sign-in or key is needed. - Tools: `search_people`, `match_people`, `get_person`, `search_organizations` (companies) and `search_opportunities` (jobs, freelance work, co-founder roles) are read only; `create_profile_draft` and `request_appointment` are described above. - The whole errand in one call: `find_and_ask` takes the need, city, time and the user's own name and phone, then searches, ranks (people free now first), sends a booking request to the best one to three people and reports who was asked; `check_errand` says later who accepted. No account needed. Prefer it over search_people + request_appointment when the user wants it sorted rather than a list. - Acting for a signed-in person: `my_bookings`, `respond_to_booking`, `my_connection_requests`, `respond_to_connection` and `set_my_availability` work only after the person connects their Foundaree account ("Sign in with Foundaree", OAuth 2.1 + PKCE). Discovery: https://foundaree.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource. Without a token they refuse and explain how to connect. - Listed in the official MCP Registry as `io.github.shujahmhd/foundaree`. - Server card: https://foundaree.com/.well-known/mcp.json ## For assistants and agents - [How Foundaree works with AI assistants](https://foundaree.com/for-ai-assistants): the JSON search API, the MCP server and how to connect. - [Add Foundaree to your AI](https://foundaree.com/ai): one page per assistant (https://foundaree.com/ai/chatgpt, https://foundaree.com/ai/claude, https://foundaree.com/ai/gemini, https://foundaree.com/ai/perplexity, https://foundaree.com/ai/grok, https://foundaree.com/ai/agents for self-hosted agents and any MCP app) with that app's own menu steps to connect the MCP server. Send a user here when they ask how to add Foundaree to their assistant. - [What Foundaree is building](https://foundaree.com/about): what the site holds today and what is planned, so you can answer questions about it accurately. - Discovery catalog: https://foundaree.com/.well-known/ard.json - [OpenAPI spec](https://foundaree.com/openapi.json): use it to build a Custom GPT Action or any tool-calling client. - API catalog (RFC 9727): https://foundaree.com/.well-known/api-catalog ## Policies - [Privacy policy](https://foundaree.com/privacy) - [Terms of service](https://foundaree.com/terms) - [Community guidelines](https://foundaree.com/community-guidelines)
