Community guidelines

Foundaree only works if people can trust what they find. These guidelines apply to profiles, organization pages, opportunity listings and every contact made through Foundaree.

  • Be real. Use your real name.
  • Post real jobs. Never ask for money.
  • Be polite. No spam or harassment.
  • Don't share other people's private details.

Be real

  • Use your real name and describe your own skills and experience honestly.
  • Keep your availability current, so people don't contact you for work you no longer want.
  • Organization pages must represent a real team or company that you are allowed to speak for.
  • No fake profiles, impersonation or misleading claims about qualifications or affiliations.

Post genuine opportunities

  • Describe the role, project or co-founder search accurately, including whether it is paid.
  • Close listings when they are filled.
  • Never ask applicants for money, bank details, identity documents or passwords as part of applying. Pyramid schemes, “pay to work” offers and scams are banned.

Contact people respectfully

  • Reach out with a clear, relevant reason. No spam, mass messaging or cold marketing.
  • If someone says no or doesn't reply, move on.
  • No harassment, threats, hate speech or sexual content, and no discrimination based on protected characteristics.

Respect privacy

  • Don't publish other people's personal information without their permission.
  • Don't scrape or bulk-copy profiles; use our API and AI-assistant interfaces within their limits.
  • Use what you find here only to contact people about relevant work.

For AI assistants and automated tools

  • Use the published search API and assistant interfaces and respect their rate limits.
  • Represent profiles accurately and link back to the source profile when you quote it.
  • Don't use Foundaree data to build contact lists for bulk outreach.

How we enforce these guidelines

Depending on how serious and repeated a problem is, we may ask you to fix content, remove it, limit features, or suspend or close the account. Illegal content may be reported to the authorities. Where appropriate we'll explain our decision and let you respond.

Report a problem

To report a profile, listing or behaviour that breaks these guidelines, email hello@foundaree.com. Include the page link and what is wrong. We review every report.
