Terms of service

1. Who can use Foundaree

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use Foundaree for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to act for it.

2. Your account

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• One person, one personal profile. Don't impersonate anyone or create accounts for others without permission.
• Keep your password and sign-in methods safe. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.

3. Your content

• You own what you publish: profiles, organization pages and opportunity listings.
• You give Foundaree a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, display and distribute that content, including through search, our API and AI-assistant interfaces, as needed to run and improve the service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already shared or cached by others.
• Public content can be read, indexed and quoted by anyone, including search engines and AI tools. Only publish what you are happy to make public, and use the visibility settings for the rest.
• You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to publish it.

4. Acceptable use

Follow our community guidelines. In particular, don't:

• post false, misleading, discriminatory, hateful, harassing or illegal content;
• post fake job or co-founder listings, scams, or requests for payment from applicants;
• send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or use contact details found here for marketing;
• scrape, bulk-download or resell data, except through our published API and AI-assistant interfaces within their rate limits;
• probe, overload or break our systems, bypass security or rate limits, or access accounts that are not yours.

5. Opportunities and introductions

Foundaree helps people find each other. We don't employ anyone listed here, don't verify every claim in a profile or listing, and aren't a party to any agreement you make with other users. Check who you are dealing with before sharing sensitive information or entering an arrangement.

6. Fees

Foundaree is currently free. We take no payments, so no refund policy applies. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll show the price and terms before you pay.

7. Moderation, suspension and closing your account

• We may remove content or restrict, suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
• Where appropriate, we'll tell you why and give you a way to respond.
• You can stop using Foundaree at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy).

8. Changes to the service and these terms

Foundaree is evolving and features may change or stop. If we change these terms in a significant way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Foundaree after a change means you accept the new terms.

9. Disclaimers and liability

• Foundaree is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.
• To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content, conduct or agreements of other users.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have under the law where you live.
